The first performance by Bards Without Borders at Hackney Showroom on 3rd December was a sell-out success.
London poets from refugee and migrant backgrounds combined music and spoken word to present new and exciting responses to the work of William Shakespeare.
Following three workshops led by theatre director Arne Pohlmeier (Two Gents) and poet/facilitator Laila Sumpton focusing on The Comedy Of Errors, the poets performed new work supported by Chris Redmond and his musicians from Tongue Fu.
