Call out for submission for an International Performance Lab with Dash Arts.
Dash Arts have announced the launch of an International Performance Lab supporting UK-based migrant artists (the Migrant Artists Programme).
In late November, Dash Arts will offer an artistic and professional development opportunity exploring performance in the unique Dash Arts style – across art- forms, languages and cultural background. This International Performance Lab is for UK-based performers (actors, musicians, actor-musicians) originally from another country.
Over two weeks (w/c 20 November and w/c 27 November), participants will work with Dash Arts’ Artistic Directors, Tim Supple and Josephine Burton exploring the novella SOUL by the Russian writer Andrei Platonov, an extraordinary tale of a nomadic community of different races and ethnicities in Central Asia in the 1930s.
The two weeks (generally 10-6) will be a collective, physical, playful and instructive sharing , of skills and experience. They will end the sessions with a public sharing work-in-progress. There will also be opportunity for practical advisory, development and mentoring sessions targeted to the needs and wishes of our Performance Lab participants.

Please email MAP@dasharts.org.uk to register your interest with a statement of interest and a CV or summary of past performance and training experience. Deadline for initial expressions of interest: Monday, 6 November.
