The Stranger photographic series by Arteh Odjidja is a portrait based project, showcasing the inspirational stories of young migrants and refugees from all parts of the world.

It offers young people the opportunity to share their individual experiences of leaving their country of birth and all that they’ve known, to discover new purpose and opportunities in major cities around the world.

For a related educational project, Arteh has worked with Coram’s Young Citizens programme.

Over a series of workshops, supported by Leica Camera UK, Arteh helped the Young Citizens ambassadors to develop their photography skills and refine their own unique creative voices. Their photographs showcase the achievements and aspirations of young migrants in order to challenge public perceptions and inspire those from similar backgrounds.

The photographs were displayed to the public at the British Museum as part of Refugee Week.

Arteh Odjidja is a commercial fashion/portraiture and fine art photographer born and bred in London, where he resides today.

Specialising in fashion/portraiture and fine art photography, Arteh has managed to build up his commercial portfolio with commissions from some of the world’s most recognised brands in menswear fashion and luxury, including Leica camera, Paul Smith, Ozwald Boateng and Mont blanc.
