An exhibition of over 150 paintings is in celebration of the Studio’s 5th year.
The New Art Studio is a therapeutic art studio for people who are no longer safe in their own country. They make art as a way of being together through adversity. This collection of over 150 paintings is in celebration of the Studio’s 5th year; the artwork demonstrates the power of the human spirit and the freedom of the imagination.
As part of the exhibition they are hosting a panel discussion centred on the theme of “Imagination Between Barriers” on 28th April.
Speakers will include:
Dick Blackwell, Consultant Group and Family Psychotherapist, and part of the Baobab centre for young survivors in exile.
Dima Karout, Visual Artist and Educator
Claire Manson, senior art therapist at the Baobab Centre & co-founder of Studio Upstairs.
