This is a FREE event for all the family to celebrate Refugee Week

Supported by Near Neighbours, The Saintbury Trust & Platforma

After months of fundraising and many setbacks we can now confirm that our Refugee Week Festival will go ahead this year. Its very short notice, but please come along and support us, we can’t celebrate without you! Saturday 17th June at MAC 1 – 6.30pm

This is a free event for all the family, with live music, spoken word, workshops, activities and more…. Come and join us for a great day out!!!

Running Order

1pm – 2pm – Hexagon Theatre Spoken Word and Music – Writers Without Borders with Apha & Dan (from Afro Mio)

2.00pm – 6.30pm – Main Stage (Courtyard or Terrace Gallery if raining)

2.00pm – Nifeco Costa – originally from Guinea Bissau, brings sweet melodious sounds with a groove to make you move!

3.30pm – Afro Mio – from Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo and UK – a harmonious blend of rich vocals borne on a wave of rhythmic conga and melodious African guitar and Cora.

4.30pm – Workshop (details to be confirmed)

5.30pm – The Redeemed – hailing from the Democratic Republic of Congo, create a consummate stage show of music, dance and movement. The Redeemed perform with vibrant energy and the highest artistic quality to create a musical and visual delight, guaranteed to get people dancing!
