Counter-flow: the movement of cultures from one place to another
A new exhibition at the People’s History Museum, Manchester
From Wednesday 21 July 2021 to Sunday 10 October 2021 (Museum closed on Mondays and Tuesdays)
10.00am – 4.00pm
At the centre of this exhibition is Counter-flow, an installation of 100 pairs of ceramic feet, decorated with textile patterns from around the world, referencing current global demographic shifts and the subsequent worldwide spread of cultural identities.
This exhibition is brought to PHM by Eva Mileusnic, a second generation British/Hungarian UK based contemporary artist. Eva’s work explores the themes of migration, memory, identity and integration.
