Tyler Gindraux

As an industrial designer with a background in development and social innovation, I'm interested in the ways making things with your hands can help build social communities.

I've been working up in the Midlands with FabLab Coventry and a group of migrants, refugees, and long-time residents of the city. We've used the process of making things with your hands, as a way to reflect on experiences, express and share them, and create a social atmosphere. Through using making as a new type of language - we're overcoming language barriers, feeling more connected, and welcoming each other home.
